Our organic natural latex is a foam material made from the sap of Hevea brasiliensis — rubber trees cultivated without harming the tree itself or surrounding forests. The sap is gently tapped, allowing the tree to regenerate over many years. When responsibly managed, this makes natural latex a renewable, biodegradable and non-toxic resource.

The latex we use is produced using the Dunlop method and comes from controlled organic agriculture. It is certified to GOLS standards and manufactured under fair working conditions, in collaboration with a German, family-owned producer with long-standing expertise in natural core materials. The production process is carbon neutral, with emissions carefully measured, reduced and offset through verified climate initiatives.

As a core material, natural latex is valued for its resilience, stability and longevity. It offers a calm, responsive behaviour — supportive without being rigid, elastic without collapsing — and maintains its structure and performance over time. Its open-cell structure allows for natural airflow and moisture balance, contributing to a healthy and comfortable indoor environment.

Naturally resistant to bacteria, mould, mildew and dust mites, natural latex does not require chemical treatments to remain hygienic. This makes it a health-positive material choice and a safe option for those with allergies, aligning with our focus on materials that support both well-being and longevity.
