Down and feathers have been used for generations for their natural softness, lightness and ability to create comfort with very little material. Their character is familiar and enduring, valued for the way they add volume and ease while remaining breathable and adaptable over time.

By reintroducing existing resources into new use, recycled down offers a considered alternative to both virgin down and synthetic fillings, while preserving the natural qualities that make down such a refined material.

The down and feathers we use are processed by an Italian, family-owned specialist with more than a century of experience in the industry. Through a fully in-house recycling process, post-consumer down is collected, washed and sterilised according to the highest quality and hygiene standards. Their recycled down was the first of its kind to receive Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification.

Independent life cycle assessments show that down can have up to 97% lower environmental impact than polyester-based fillings. Compared to virgin down, recycled down processing requires significantly less water, energy and detergents, resulting in a materially reduced environmental footprint.
